My experience and background is well rounded and suited to small business. I have served as Controller of four small businesses. I have eight year's CPA firm experience and have worked with small businesses as a representative of the Kentucky Department of Revenue. I have a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Louisville with additional course work in accounting to meet the requirements of a CPA. I am licensed CPA in the state of Kentucky and have been a CPA for fourteen years. Over the years, I have built a reputation of honesty, dedication, dependability and creativity.
As Controller I have managed all functions of the accounting department which includes, managing staff, preparing financial statements and other financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow, oversight of payroll, HR, tax compliance, fixed asset management, special projects, and work with auditors and bankers. As a staff accountant at local CPA firms, I prepared income tax returns for small to medium sized businesses and individuals and performed audits of governmental contracts. I represented the Department of Revenue's interests in working with small businesses.
I am married with two children. My hobbies include boating on Lake Cumberland, running and reading.
